Minister underscores youth empowerment at ISLOO International Fashion Tourism Festival 2026 logo unveiling

Islamabad, Feb 17: The logo of the ISLOO International Fashion Tourism Festival 2026 was officially unveiled in Islamabad at a ceremony attended by diplomats, designers, industry representatives and members of the creative sector. Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khitchi attended the event as chief guest, highlighting the role of fashion tourism in economic development and cultural outreach.

The festival, organized under the flagship of Royal Rovers, is designed to promote cross-border collaboration, youth entrepreneurship and innovation in textile design. Officials said the initiative aims to position Islamabad as an emerging regional hub for fashion tourism while strengthening Pakistan’s presence in the global creative economy.

In his address, the minister described fashion tourism as part of the broader creative economy and a potential tool for cultural diplomacy and tourism promotion. He said such platforms can support emerging talent and encourage greater international engagement in Pakistan’s fashion and textile sectors.

Senior actor and former federal minister for culture Jamal Shah has been named brand ambassador for the festival. The event was hosted by Adnan Hafeez, founder of Royal Rovers.

According to organizers, the festival plans to bring together designers, creative entrepreneurs and investors from Pakistan and abroad. Institutions and industry stakeholders are expected to participate in exhibitions, networking forums and related activities.

The festival’s logo was conceptualized and designed by students of the National Textile University Faisalabad. Organizers acknowledged the contributions of Dr Zafar Javed, faculty members and students involved in the project.

Officials said further details regarding dates and program schedules will be announced in the coming months.
