RAWALPINDI — Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has inducted BYD electric vehicles into its fleet, marking a step towards cleaner and more efficient traffic management in the federal capital.
The move introduces electric mobility into routine traffic operations, including patrol and monitoring across Islamabad. It also reflects a gradual shift towards reducing reliance on conventional fuel-powered vehicles.
The inclusion of BYD vehicles comes as electric mobility gains traction in Pakistan, with both private and public sectors exploring cost-effective and environmentally sustainable transport options.
