Islamabad Police Intensify Crackdown: Major Arrests, Drugs & Looted Cash Recovered

Islamabad: Following the directives of IG Islamabad, under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone Khan Zaib, the crackdown on drug dealers and criminals has intensified. Sangjani police station seized 2 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) smuggled from Balochistan, while Golra police station swiftly arrested a gang that had looted Rs. 15 million from a house in Shah Allah Ditta and recovered the entire amount within hours. Additionally, in the jurisdiction of Sumbal police station, a suspect who shot and killed his brother-in-law’s daughter at Naswar Chowk was immediately apprehended.

Under the leadership of SP Saddar Khan Zaib, police operations are ongoing, with raiding teams targeting criminals and fugitives. Due to the crackdown, criminals and drug dealers are either fleeing the area or repenting their activities. The public has expressed confidence in the police and pledged their full support.

According to details, IG Islamabad, DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, and SP Saddar Khan Zaib have issued special instructions to SHOs, including Shah Nawaz (Golra police station), Malik Asif (Sumbal police station), and Shah Fahad (Sangjani police station), to tighten the noose around criminals and drug dealers in the Saddar Zone and surrounding areas. As a result, several offenders have been taken into custody.

Following SP Saddar Khan Zaib’s directives, SHOs have formed special raiding teams actively engaged in operations against these elements. Speaking to media representatives, SP Saddar Khan Zaib emphasized that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. He declared that there is no place for criminals and drug dealers in the Saddar Zone. He also highlighted that IG Islamabad and DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq have strictly instructed that no leniency should be shown towards criminals and drug peddlers.

SP Khan Zaib reaffirmed that following the orders of senior officials, efforts are underway to cleanse the city and its surroundings of criminal elements, and public cooperation is crucial in completely eradicating crime.
