PARIS, July 8: Isha Ambani, daughter of Indian business leader Mukesh Ambani, drew attention at Paris Haute Couture Week after appearing with a rare diamond-studded Hermès Birkin bag reportedly valued at around $2 million (more than Rs560 million). While her couture ensemble attracted interest, it was the luxury handbag that became one of the most discussed fashion accessories of the event.

Rare Hermès Birkin Crafted with More Than 3,000 Diamonds Couture Gown and High-End Jewellery Complete the Look Ambani Family Known for Luxury Collections

According to luxury resale platform Privé Porter and auction house Sotheby’s, the Hermès Birkin Sac Bijou is considered one of the world’s most valuable handbags. Unlike a traditional Birkin, the piece was designed as a high-jewellery collectible rather than an everyday accessory.

Rare Hermès Birkin Crafted with More Than 3,000 Diamonds

Isha Ambani carried the bag while attending Indian designer Rahul Mishra’s runway show during Paris Haute Couture Week.

The miniature handbag is part of Hermès’ Haute Joaillerie collection and was designed by French designer Pierre Hardy. It is crafted from 18-karat white gold and set with 3,025 diamonds weighing more than 111 carats in total.

The design features a white gold finish with a crocodile-skin-inspired texture, combining the appearance of a classic Birkin with fine jewellery craftsmanship. Reports indicate that the rare handbag belongs to Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani’s mother.

Couture Gown and High-End Jewellery Complete the Look

Alongside the handbag, Isha Ambani wore a grey couture gown featuring a structured corset silhouette, a heart-shaped neckline and detailed embellishments with pearls and sequins. The gown also included a subtle ombré effect and a matching shawl.

She completed her appearance with open-toe heels and jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz, including a diamond rivière necklace featuring a 30-carat cushion-cut diamond, pear-shaped diamond earrings and a seven-carat oval-cut diamond ring.

The Ambani family is internationally recognised for its extensive collection of luxury jewellery, designer fashion and high-profile public appearances. Isha Ambani’s appearance at Paris Haute Couture Week added to that reputation, with the diamond Hermès Birkin bag emerging as one of the event’s most talked-about fashion pieces
