Veteran Bollywood actor Hema Malini has spoken about what she described as Dharmendra’s final message to the family, saying his greatest wish was for all his children and loved ones to remain united.
In a recent interview, Hema Malini said Dharmendra repeatedly urged her during his final days to keep the family together and continue supporting one another. She said she still considers that advice an important guiding principle in her life.
According to Hema Malini, Dharmendra wanted all members of the family to maintain close relationships despite the complexities of their personal lives. She said she continues to make every effort to preserve harmony within the family.
The actor also spoke positively about Dharmendra’s sons from his first marriage, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, describing them as caring sons and saying family members continue to treat one another with respect.
Hema Malini also dismissed long-standing rumours of differences between herself and Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur. She said the family prefers to stay away from unnecessary publicity and remains united despite public speculation.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini first met while working together in films during the late 1960s. They married in 1980 and have two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Dharmendra also had four children from his first marriage to Prakash Kaur.
