As the world’s biggest diplomatic event in recent times is about to be held in Islamabad, the secrecy in this matter is also increasing. Several Pakistani and international journalists who have been closely covering issues like Pakistan’s mediation and the ceasefire between Iran and the US have already expressed that Islamabad will make every effort to keep the talks between the parties completely secret so that external elements can have minimal influence on it. That is why no final details have been revealed since last night, including the arrival of foreign delegates, the venue of the talks, and the people participating in them, while local and international media are also only making guesses in this regard.

Behind-the-scenes diplomacy can make the talks successful

Islamabad will try to keep the talks completely under wraps before the final outcome and to reveal something official after the details are finalized. This approach may prove effective in making Pakistan’s mediation successful and bringing the US and Iranian delegates, who have very tough positions, to an agreement. According to senior journalist Kamran Yousuf, who has a very close eye on the talks, Pakistan is making every effort not to reveal any details before the final success of the talks and Pakistan has been successful in this regard so far.

No one has the final information, no matter what social media says.

Since last night, various reports have been coming out on social media, especially on X, regarding the proposed talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad. According to some reports, the Iranian delegation reached Islamabad last night, while according to some, Iran has refused to hold talks because Israel is continuously bombing Lebanon. There are also some reports that the Pakistan Air Force has brought the plane of the Iranian guests from Iran itself so that no attack can be made on them. There are many other similar reports in circulation, but neither Pakistan nor the US and Iran have been able to confirm or deny any of them. It seems that while Pakistan itself adheres to the very effective principle of secrecy, the American and Iranian parties have also been obliged not to share any details with the media.

What will be the procedure for the talks? The Foreign Office is maintaining complete secrecy

According to the very limited information that has come to light so far, the talks will be hosted by the five-star Serena Hotel in Islamabad, while US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf are also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif before the talks. Apart from this, what will be the procedure for the talks? Will the US and Iran hold direct talks from the initial stage or will notes be exchanged with Pakistan, after which direct talks will be held in the second stage. Will the success of the talks or the final agreement be announced in these two days or will more days be kept for it? No details have been revealed in this regard yet and the Foreign Office, where all these details have been decided, is keeping them completely secret.
