Indian social media influencer and makeup artist Mad Sandhu was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne attackers in Amritsar, Punjab.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place at around 6pm when two unidentified assailants opened fire on Sandhu. He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Following the shooting, a Facebook account named “Goldy Dhillon” reportedly claimed responsibility for the killing. Police are investigating the authenticity of the social media post and have not yet established whether the claim is genuine.
Mad Sandhu was known on social media for content related to makeup, fashion and lifestyle. He had also reportedly appeared in several Punjabi films.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the killing. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
