ISLAMABAD, October 11, 2026: Prime Minister’s Coordinator and senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ikhtiar Wali Khan said on Sunday that the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had come to an end and bid farewell to Sohail Afridi in a social media post.

In a post on X, Ikhtiar Wali wrote: “From good boy to goodbye — farewell Sohail Afridi, once there was PTI.”

He also said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserved congratulations on what he described as a “Day of Deliverance.”

Ikhtiar Wali shared a poster with the post carrying the message: “Congratulations to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the Day of Deliverance.”

His statement came after the PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended following the imposition of emergency measures and governor’s rule in the province.

Sohail Afridi was removed from the chief minister’s office and later arrested, while PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar was also taken into custody.

Ikhtiar Wali, who serves as the Prime Minister’s Coordinator and is a central PML-N leader, made the remarks in his X post on October 11.
