Pind Dadan Khan: A crucial meeting on crime prevention was held under the chairmanship of IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting was attended by the Additional IG South Punjab, RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, and other senior officers.
A detailed review of the districts’ performance in combating interprovincial drug traffickers, organized gangs, and serious crimes was conducted. Approval was given for a centralized database and modern strategies to further intensify the crackdown on organized crime.
Discussions were held on enhancing the capacity, logistics, transport, and standardized SOPs of the CIA to strengthen organized crime control across Punjab. Agreement was reached on expanding the scope of a centralized working system at the provincial level.
Through the Provincial Organized Crime Control Mechanism and effective coordination, the crackdown on criminal elements across all districts will be further intensified.
