Program Details:
The Punjab government has announced the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, under which 50,000 advanced laptops will be distributed to talented students. 2,000 laptops will be provided annually.
Application Process:
- No online application is required.
- Educational institutions will compile data of eligible students.
- Verified data will be sent to the Punjab Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the final selection.
Laptop Distribution Timeline:
- Registration: Starts in February 2025.
- Distribution: Expected after Ramadan in April or May 2025.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has confirmed that the first batch of laptops has arrived in Pakistan. The program will provide 13th generation Core i7 laptops. Minority students and high-achievers in secondary & higher secondary exams will also receive laptops to promote education and research.
Laptop Distribution Breakdown:
- 20,000 for university students
- 14,000 for college students
- 4,000 for technical & agricultural college students
- 2,000 for medical & dental college students
- 32% of the total laptops will be allocated to South Punjab students
Eligible Fields:
Students enrolled in Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Business, Languages, Veterinary Medicine, and Agriculture are eligible for this scheme.
