American actress Hayden Panettiere, best known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville, has died at the age of 36, her representative confirmed.
Her father, Skip Panettiere, expressed deep sorrow over his daughter’s death, describing her as a talented person who brought happiness to those close to her as well as millions of people who watched her on screen. The family has requested privacy as they cope with the loss.

Panettiere began her acting career as a child and went on to gain international recognition as Claire Bennet, the superpowered cheerleader in the hit science-fiction series Heroes. She later earned widespread acclaim for playing Juliette Barnes in Nashville, a role that also showcased her singing abilities.
Her film credits included Remember the Titans and the Scream franchise, while she also lent her voice to the character of Kairi in the Kingdom Hearts video game series. Her final acting role was in the 2026 psychological thriller Sleepwalker.
Panettiere had begun working in the entertainment industry at a very young age, building a career across television, film and voice acting that spanned decades.
