ISLAMABAD, Oct 18: HN Polo Team clinched the Nanga Parbat Polo Cup after defeating ASEAN Polo Team 9-5 in the final at Islamabad Club on Sunday, concluding the tournament with a convincing performance.
The final attracted a large gathering of diplomats, club members, families and polo enthusiasts, who witnessed a competitive contest between the two teams.
HN Polo Team maintained control of the match through coordinated play and effective teamwork, overcoming a determined ASEAN side to secure the championship title.
Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Ugo Ciarlatani and his wife, Vanessa Mancini Ciarlatani, attended the final as chief guests, alongside members of the diplomatic community and Islamabad Club.
Following the match, the chief guests presented the Nanga Parbat Polo Cup trophy to the winning team and congratulated both sides on their performances, horsemanship and sportsmanship.
They also appreciated Islamabad Club for organising the tournament and providing a platform for competitive polo.
The final was held at the Islamabad Club Polo Club, a prominent venue for polo activities in the federal capital.
The tournament formed part of Islamabad Club’s ongoing efforts to promote polo and encourage participation in the sport, while bringing together players, spectators and members of the diplomatic community.
