The Sindh Governor has claimed that Mir Raza Ali did not die by suicide, stating that the young businessman was shot four times, while emphasizing that the investigation into the case is still ongoing.
Speaking at a Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme distribution ceremony in Karachi, the governor said his information indicates that Mir Raza’s death was not a suicide.
“Mir Raza did not commit suicide; he was hit by four bullets. This is the information available to me, while the investigation is still in progress,” he said.
The governor stressed that the death of any young citizen is deeply tragic and that authorities should ensure a transparent investigation into the incident.
During his address, he also highlighted the importance of investing in education and technology, saying that the distribution of laptops would help students gain access to modern learning opportunities. He added that Pakistan aims to achieve $25 billion in IT exports through the development of its youth.
Commenting on Karachi’s law and order situation, the governor said the city’s growing population presents security challenges.
“Where the population is larger, the crime rate is generally higher. Compared to 2010, however, crime has declined,” he remarked.
The investigation into Mir Raza Ali’s death remains underway, and officials have not yet announced any final conclusions regarding the case.
