Hamza Foundation Organises Free Dental Check-ups for Thalassemia Patients in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Centre & Blood Transfusion Services has organised a free dental check-up and oral healthcare activity for children living with thalassemia in Peshawar.

The initiative was conducted by Ms. Naila and Ms. Tajda Khan, MPhil Community Dentistry students, as part of their community outreach programme aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and improving oral health awareness among vulnerable communities.

During the activity, the students carried out detailed dental examinations, provided oral health guidance and educated thalassemia patients and their families about the importance of maintaining proper dental hygiene.

The organisers said children with thalassemia require continuous medical care and special attention to their overall health, making preventive healthcare initiatives an important part of improving their quality of life.

The management of Hamza Foundation appreciated the efforts of Ms. Naila and Ms. Tajda Khan, acknowledging their dedication and contribution towards community service.
