A government employee was found dead inside a hotel room in Rawalpindi on Friday after hotel staff alerted police when repeated attempts to contact the guest went unanswered.
Police said the deceased, identified as Kashif Ali, was reportedly a resident of Sindh and had checked into a hotel within the limits of New Town Police Station. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Hotel staff alerted police after no response
According to police, hotel management contacted authorities after receiving no response from the room for an extended period.
When officers arrived and entered the room, they found Kashif Ali dead inside.
Forensic evidence collected
Police collected forensic evidence from the scene and shifted the body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and the cause and circumstances of the death will be determined following the completion of the post-mortem report and forensic analysis.
