Gold Rate Today – August 6, 2026: Price Jumps Rs11,300 Per Tola in Pakistan

KARACHI, August 6, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply for the second consecutive day on Thursday, with the rate of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs11,300 per tola amid another major surge in the international bullion market.

The price of 24-karat gold climbed to Rs449,236 per tola, compared with Rs437,936 per tola on Wednesday, August 5, according to local market data.

The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs9,688 to Rs385,147, up from Rs375,459 in the previous trading session.

International Gold Price Comparison

The international bullion rate surged by another $113 per ounce, reaching $4,268 on Thursday. Gold had closed at $4,155 per ounce a day earlier after rising by $100.

The latest increase followed a sharp rise on Wednesday, when gold prices in Pakistan jumped by Rs10,000 per tola. The two-day rally has taken the domestic gold rate from Rs427,936 on August 4 to Rs449,236 on August 6, representing a cumulative increase of Rs21,300 per tola.

Market activity remained influenced by international bullion movements and geopolitical developments. Reports of an agreement between Iran and Oman on a new safe maritime corridor signalled a possible easing of regional tensions, but demand for precious metals remained firm.

Silver Prices Also Rise

Silver prices also moved higher in both international and domestic markets.

The global silver rate increased by 35 cents to $61.80 per ounce.

In Pakistan, silver rose by Rs35 to Rs6,659 per tola, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs30 to Rs5,709.

The continued rise in gold and silver prices reflects strong demand for precious metals, with investors closely monitoring geopolitical developments and changes in international bullion markets.
