Gold price in Pakistan fell on Monday after the international bullion market recorded a decline, pulling down local rates for 24-karat gold and silver.
According to market rates, the international price of gold dropped by $23 per ounce to $4,065. The decline was reflected in local Sarafa markets, where the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs2,300 per tola to Rs428,936.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs1,972, bringing the new rate to Rs367,743.
Silver prices also moved lower in both global and local markets. In Pakistan, the price of silver fell by Rs69 per tola to Rs6,324.
The price of 10 grams of silver declined by Rs59 and was recorded at Rs5,421.
Gold and silver prices in Pakistan are influenced by international bullion rates, exchange-rate movement and demand in local markets.
