Food Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zahir Shah Toru visited Peshawar Press Club and congratulated the newly elected cabinet who succeeded in the annual elections.The Food Minister congratulated senior journalist M Riaz on being elected as the President of the Peshawar Press Club.
On this occasion, he also congratulated the newly elected Vice President Irfan Khan, General Secretary Tayyab Usman, Joint Secretary Gulzar Muhammad, Finance Secretary Ehtisham Khan, and members of the Governing Body and wished them well.
In his address, the Food Minister hoped that the new leadership of the Peshawar Press Club would play an important role in the welfare of journalists, promotion of press freedom, and highlighting public issues. He said that the journalist community is an important pillar that can play a key role in the development of the country and the restoration of true democracy.
During the visit, the Food Minister also heard the problems of the journalists and assured all possible cooperation to solve them.He said that the government supports freedom of the press and is committed to solving the problems of the journalist community on a priority basis.
