KARAK: Five terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and the police here early on Monday morning.
According to police, the operation was carried out in the Mir Kalam Bandh area based on information about the presence of terrorists. A large amount of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
Police identified local commander Mansoor among those killed in the operation.
The bodies of the killed terrorists have been removed to the DHQ hospital.
A search operation was conducted in the area.
The security forces killed seven terrorists during intelligence-based operations carried out in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
