QUETTA, August 10, 2026: Security forces killed five militants, including a key commander, during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan as counterterrorism operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 continued across the province, security sources said.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out in the Sarkini and Chaidgi areas of Panjgur following intelligence reports about the presence of militants linked to what authorities describe as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
During the operation, five militants were killed, including an alleged key commander identified as Wazir, son of Jamal, the sources said.
Security personnel also recovered four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and ammunition from the militants during the operation.
The security sources said the militants killed in the operation were allegedly involved in a range of criminal and militant activities in Panjgur, including extortion, kidnapping, robberies targeting local traders and civilians, and terrorist attacks.
A clearance operation remained underway in the area to locate and eliminate any other militants who may still be present, the sources added.
The latest action forms part of ongoing security operations in Balochistan aimed at dismantling militant networks and preventing further attacks in the province.
Security sources said the forces remain committed to eliminating militant groups operating in Balochistan and restoring lasting peace and security in affected areas.
