RAWALPINDI, July 30, 2026: Pakistan’s security forces killed four suspected militants and destroyed two explosives-laden vehicles during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on July 30 after security forces received intelligence about the presence of militants in the area.
The military said troops intercepted the movement of two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) before they could be used in an attack.
ISPR said both explosives-laden vehicles were destroyed during the operation, while four militants operating them were killed.
The military described the slain suspects as militants linked to what it referred to as the “Fitna al Hindustan” group and alleged they were backed by India. India has consistently rejected Pakistan’s allegations of supporting militant groups operating inside the country.
The ISPR said a sanitisation operation was continuing in the area to ensure that no other militants remained present.
It added that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue counterterrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
Pakistan has witnessed an increase in militant attacks in parts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in recent years, prompting security forces to intensify intelligence-based operations across the country.
