According to Rescue 1122 Shangla, the accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while travelling through the mountainous area. The jeep veered off the road and plunged into a gorge, leaving five passengers injured.

Emergency medical teams and ambulances were dispatched to the site soon after Rescue 1122 received information about the incident.
