Islamabad: Deputy Chief Minister (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon presided over a meeting in connection with Eid al-Fitr in the capital and decided to establish five stock markets in the Federal capital.
According to the ICT administration spokesman: “In preparation for Eid al-Adha, the Islamabad district administration is preparing for the cattle market season.”
The meeting was attended by all the Assistant Commissioners (AC), District Administration Director (DMA), Animal Husbandry Department and representatives of the Traffic Police.
The meeting decided to open livestock markets at five designated places in Islamabad from June 6.
This bazaar will be installed at Yayasan Sultana, Masjid Zia, Barakahu, I-14 and Margalla Avenue.
Special arrangements will be made for the convenience of traders and residents, such as shade and clean water supply for animals.
Selling and buying goods is only allowed in this designated area.
DC Memon warned that any trading outside this area will result in action against buyers and sellers.
