The forum also placed strong emphasis on internal stability and warned that any attempt to create unrest or repeat a May 9-like situation would be dealt with decisively under the law.

Regional defence cooperation also featured in the meeting.

The commanders welcomed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, saying it would strengthen longstanding strategic and collective defence ties.

The forum condemned Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, expressed solidarity with the Kingdom and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the security and sanctity of the Haramain Sharifain.

It also reiterated Pakistan’s position on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and called for a resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Earlier, the forum offered Fateha for members of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and civilians who lost their lives in service of the country and paid tribute to their sacrifices.

In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir commended military formations for their operational preparedness and professionalism.

He directed commanders to further strengthen intelligence-based operations and enhance combat capabilities through the integration of modern technology, advanced training and multi-domain capabilities.

Field Marshal Munir expressed confidence that the armed forces, backed by the nation, remained fully prepared to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security.
