Karachi: The Anti-Human Trafficking Squad of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday arrested human rights activist Sarim Buri from Karachi.
Sources said Burney was wanted by the FIA for his involvement in serious crimes like human trafficking.
The FIA had been monitoring Burney’s work before his arrest.
Burney was reportedly arrested as soon as he arrived at Karachi airport from the United States (USA).
The legal team arrived at the FIA office to meet with Bernie.
