The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad has arrested 10 Pakistanis who were deported from Türkiye, Italy, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and registered cases against them.
According to the FIA, the individuals arrived at Islamabad International Airport after being deported from the respective countries. Cases were registered against them under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport Act, 1974.
Six Deported From Türkiye
Investigators found that six of the arrested individuals had been deported from Türkiye. They were allegedly attempting to travel illegally to Europe.
The remaining individuals, who were deported from Italy, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, face allegations including illegal entry, overstaying and begging, among other violations.
The FIA has taken possession of the suspects’ passports, travel documents and mobile phones as part of the investigation. Authorities will also investigate whether any agents or facilitators helped the individuals travel abroad through illegal means.
FIA Islamabad Zone Director Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari said action against human trafficking and illegal overseas travel would continue without interruption.
