ISLAMABAD, September 15: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) sold 15 commercial plots for more than Rs10 billion on the opening day of its two-day auction in Islamabad, as investors competed for properties in the capital’s G-13 and G-14 sectors.

The auction began on Tuesday and will continue on September 16, 2026, at the Aurangandi Event Complex on Service Road East in Sector E-11/4.

Commercial plots in several locations across G-13 and G-14 are being offered, including properties in G-14 Markaz, G-14/2, G-14/3 and G-14/4.

According to FGEHA, investor participation remained strong on the first day, with 15 plots sold and proceeds crossing the Rs10 billion mark.

The authority described G-13 and G-14 as important developing areas of Islamabad with potential for further commercial activity and investment.

FGEHA Says Auction Being Conducted Transparently

FGEHA Director General Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal said transparency and merit were being maintained throughout the auction process to strengthen investor confidence.

He said commercial properties in G-13 and G-14 offered investment opportunities in key locations of the federal capital and assured participants that bidding was being conducted in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations.

The authority said the auction forms part of its efforts to utilise commercial properties while encouraging business and investment activity in the two sectors.

Investor Facilitation Cell Established

FGEHA has also established an Investor Facilitation Cell to provide a single point of contact for investors dealing with the authority.

The cell, operating under the supervision of the Director Staff, is intended to handle investor queries, applications and other issues without requiring applicants to approach multiple FGEHA offices.

Under the arrangement, the Director Staff will forward applications and complaints to the relevant wings, monitor their progress and coordinate with concerned officials for their resolution.

FGEHA said the initiative was designed to make its investment-related procedures more transparent, efficient and accessible.

The second and final day of the commercial plot auction will take place on Wednesday, September 16, when bidding for the remaining properties is scheduled to continue.

The final value of the two-day auction will become clear after bidding concludes on Wednesday.
