ISLAMABAD, August 10, 2026: Senior Inland Revenue Service officer Nadeem Hussain Rizvi (BS-22) retired from government service on Monday after serving in several senior positions at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
A farewell was held during a meeting of the Board-in-Council, chaired by FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, where Rizvi’s services to Pakistan’s tax administration were acknowledged.
The FBR chairman praised Rizvi’s professionalism, dedication and contribution to the organisation and presented him with a commemorative memento.

Rizvi was promoted to BS-22 in 2023 and held a number of key assignments during his career.
His senior positions included Chief Commissioner, Corporate Regional Tax Office Lahore; Member Tax Policy/TPA; and Member Administration/HR at FBR.
He later served as Director General of the Inland Revenue Service Academy (IRSA), Lahore, where he was involved in training and capacity building for Inland Revenue Service officers.
FBR members and senior officials also extended their best wishes to Rizvi following his retirement from public service.
