ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture Farah Naz Akbar on Monday visited several petrol pumps in the federal capital to inspect the implementation of the Rs500 special fuel relief scheme announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
During the visits, she examined relief registers and reviewed the procedures being followed to provide the facility to eligible citizens. She also interacted with petrol pump employees and customers to obtain feedback on the scheme’s implementation.
Farah Naz said providing relief to the public remained a priority of the federal government and stressed the need to ensure that eligible citizens received the announced assistance without unnecessary difficulties.
She directed the concerned staff to maintain transparency in the distribution of relief and ensure that the scheme was implemented efficiently.
The parliamentary secretary also instructed petrol pump administrations to treat customers courteously and address their concerns during the process.
She said the Rs500 relief initiative was intended to ease the financial burden on citizens and emphasised that its benefits should reach the intended recipients.
Citizens interacting with the parliamentary secretary welcomed the relief scheme and appreciated the government’s initiative.
