DERA ISMAIL KHAN/BAJAUR: Two separate explosions damaged a Bomb Disposal Squad facility in Dera Ismail Khan and a government school in Bajaur, though no casualties were reported in either incident, according to police.

In Dera Ismail Khan, an explosion occurred inside a room used by the Bomb Disposal Squad. Police initially said the blast may have been triggered by a short circuit, causing explosive material stored inside the facility to detonate.

The room collapsed in the explosion, but no personnel or civilians were injured. Authorities were examining the site to determine the precise cause and assess the extent of the damage.

In a separate incident, unidentified individuals allegedly used explosives to damage a government school in the Loi Kharki area of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur district.

Police said the school building sustained significant structural damage, but no students, teachers or other staff members were present when the blast occurred.

Security personnel reached the location and began collecting evidence as part of an investigation to identify those responsible.

Earlier reports from the area identified the targeted institution as a government middle school in Kharki and said it was damaged in a suspected explosive attack.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the incident.
