Emirates Expands Flexible Booking Options for Dubai and Global Travel

ISLAMABAD, August 11, 2026: Emirates has introduced a series of new travel flexibility measures, including unlimited free date changes on Dubai-bound tickets, lower refund fees and additional benefits for Emirates Skywards members.

The airline said the changes are aimed at giving passengers greater control over bookings and reducing the financial impact of changing or cancelling travel plans.

Unlimited Free Date Changes for Dubai Flights

From August 10, 2026, passengers travelling to Dubai can change their travel dates an unlimited number of times without paying a change fee across several fare categories.

The policy applies to Economy Saver through Flex fares, as well as Business Class Special, Saver and Flex fares.

Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares remain fully flexible.

Emirates noted that passengers may still have to pay any applicable fare difference when changing travel dates.

Emirates Cuts Refund Fees on Dubai Tickets

The airline has also reduced refund charges for Dubai-bound bookings.

In Economy Class, refund fees have been lowered to $50 for Saver fares and $25 for Flex fares.

Business Class passengers will pay a $50 refund fee on Special and Saver fares, while Flex fare refunds will carry a $25 charge.

No-show fees remain unchanged.

The airline said the combination of lower refund charges and unlimited free date changes is intended to give passengers more options if their travel plans change.

One Free Date Change Across Emirates Network

Passengers travelling anywhere on the Emirates network are also entitled to one free date change on tickets booked from April 2, 2026, including itineraries connecting through Dubai.

Customers can additionally hold a fare for up to 24 hours at no charge while finalising their plans.

Where Emirates flights are disrupted, the airline said it may provide accommodation directly to affected passengers.

If onward connections with other airlines are disrupted, or Emirates services are unavailable, eligible passengers may be rebooked to their destination without additional charges, including in cases linked to airspace disruptions.

Skywards Members Get Extra Benefits Until August 31

Emirates has also announced limited-time benefits for members of its Skywards loyalty programme.

Until August 31, 2026, members can benefit from:

  • 20% fewer Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status
  • 20% bonus Tier Miles on Emirates and flydubai flights
  • An enhanced Cash+Miles rate of 2,000 Miles for $30, compared with the usual $15 value

The promotional Cash+Miles rate can be used toward Emirates or flydubai flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.

Emirates said the latest measures are part of its broader effort to give travellers greater flexibility from the point of booking through to their final destination.
