Islamabad — Emirates has been named Best Airline Worldwide at the 2026 Business Traveller Middle East (BTME) Awards, marking its 13th consecutive win of the top title, as the carrier continues to be recognised for its premium services, cabin experience and airport facilities.
The airline also secured awards for Best First Class and Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East for its First Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport. The recognition reflects continued passenger demand and industry acknowledgment of its long-haul travel services and airport experience offerings.
The honours were announced at the BTME Awards, one of the region’s leading travel industry events, where winners are selected through nominations and votes by Business Traveller Middle East readers. Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim received the awards on behalf of the airline.
The latest recognition comes as the airline expands its fleet modernisation programme, which includes retrofitting 219 Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft with upgraded interiors. Emirates is also introducing Airbus A350 aircraft into its network, bringing new cabin products and updated onboard technology across its routes.
According to the airline, refurbished aircraft and A350 operations now serve more than 70 destinations, supporting a more uniform premium travel experience across its global network of nearly 140 cities.
Premium services and cabin experience
Emirates’ First Class product includes private suites, onboard dining on demand, luxury amenities, and access to premium services such as Shower Spa facilities and the Onboard Lounge on selected A380 aircraft.
The airline’s premium experience also extends beyond the cabin, including chauffeur-drive services in around 90 destinations, priority airport services, and access to lounge facilities in more than 30 locations worldwide.
Dubai lounges recognised again
The carrier’s First Class Lounges at Dubai International Airport were also named Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East. The facilities offer à la carte dining, spa services, premium retail areas, and direct boarding access for select flights.
Fleet expansion and new services
Emirates has recently introduced Starlink-enabled in-flight connectivity across part of its fleet, allowing passengers to access high-speed internet for streaming, calls and work during flights. The airline says it aims to expand this service across more wide-body aircraft in phases.
The carrier has also launched new travel protection offerings and plans to begin a daily service to Helsinki in October, establishing a direct year-round link between Finland and the UAE.
