ISLAMABAD: ICCI Eid Shopping Festival kicked off in Sector I-8 to provide affordable shopping to residents of the twin cities. The festival will last till Chand Raat.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon along with Deputy Commissioner Mrs Farwa Batool and ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari inaugurated the festival.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon praised ICCI and other partners for organizing the Eid shopping festival.
He highlighted the key role of traders in the economy and expressed the ICT Administration’s willingness to cooperate in organizing trade promotion activities, indicating a proactive approach to supporting trade efforts.
The ICCI president said the purpose of the shopping festival is to enable people affected by inflation to experience Eid shopping at discounted prices.
He highlighted that the festival will offer various entertainment options to shoppers, including a traditional food area, an arts and crafts corner, mehndi stalls, a dedicated children’s section, corporate stalls, a live music stage, exciting raffles, engaging quizzes, captivating laser lights and stunning light displays .
It is pertinent to mention here that similar Eid Fetivals were also started in Abpara, Blue Area, F-7 and F-10 Marakiz market.
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari also called upon the DIG Police, SSP Traffic and CDA executives to ensure elaborate security, ensure smooth traffic and ensure a tidy and clean atmosphere around all business centers.
Also present on the occasion were Jan Mohammad, CEO of Redson Blue, Khalid Chaudhry, Former Vice President, Ameer Hamza, Executive Member, Faizan Shahzad, Executive Member, Raja Fayyaz Gul, President of I-8 Markaz and Zahid Qiureshi, General Secretary.
