KARACHI: Pakistani actress Durefishan Saleem has shared an emotional message after completing Hajj, describing the pilgrimage as a transformative experience marked by patience, gratitude, and faith.
The actor, known for her role in Ishq Murshid, reflected on her journey in a post shared on Instagram, where she spoke about the spiritual lessons she learned and the personal growth she experienced during the pilgrimage.
Durefishan said performing Hajj alongside her parents was one of the most meaningful aspects of the journey. She revealed that she fell ill on the first day of Rami but drew strength from her family and faith throughout the experience.
Describing the pilgrimage as a “story of Sabr, Shukar, and Tawakul,” she said the journey helped her develop a deeper sense of gratitude and trust while allowing her to build connections with fellow female pilgrims.
The actress recalled sharing prayers, meals, and experiences with other worshippers, adding that the pilgrimage offered opportunities to learn about faith through everyday actions and interactions.
In her message, Durefishan said Hajj taught her the importance of letting go of emotional burdens and embracing surrender. She noted that while the physical demands of the pilgrimage left her exhausted, the experience brought a sense of inner peace and fulfillment.
Concluding her post, the actress extended prayers and good wishes to Muslims around the world and expressed hope that more people would have the opportunity to perform Hajj in the future.
