Dubai has streamlined its tourist visa application process, making it easier for international travelers, including Pakistanis, to obtain short-term visit visas.
According to reports, Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has highlighted measures aimed at simplifying entry procedures, allowing eligible applicants to receive a single-entry tourist visa within 48 hours after completing the required application process and submitting all necessary documents.
The single-entry tourist visa is available for stays of 30 or 60 days. Officials said applications are processed once all documentation requirements have been fulfilled.
Documents Required for Tourist Visa
According to the GDRFA, applicants can submit their visa requests through approved travel agencies operating under a streamlined digital system designed to facilitate travel and improve the visitor experience.
Required documents include a recent photograph, a valid passport copy and, for certain nationalities, a copy of the national identity card.
Authorities said applications are reviewed promptly after all required documents are submitted.
Faster Processing Through Digital Services
The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader efforts to expand digital government services and strengthen its position as a leading global tourism destination.
Representatives of approved travel agencies said many tourist visa applications are processed within hours when all requirements are met. In some cases, applicants reportedly receive visa approvals within two to three hours.
Officials say the enhanced process is intended to make travel planning more efficient and provide visitors with a smoother experience from application to arrival.
