New developments have emerged in the drug trafficking and murder cases involving alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, with a court postponing a decision on bail applications filed by two co-accused in the narcotics case, while police have submitted an interim charge sheet in a separate murder investigation.

The proceedings took place in the South Sessions Court in Karachi, where the court heard matters related to the narcotics case registered against Anmol alias Pinky at Garden Police Station. The court deferred its ruling on the bail applications of the accused’s alleged facilitators due to the presiding judge’s leave.

The decision on the bail pleas is now expected to be announced on the next hearing date.

Earlier, co-accused Sohail Rehman and Zeeshan had filed applications seeking bail in the narcotics case. Defence counsel argued before the court that the two accused had no connection with the alleged activities attributed to Anmol alias Pinky.

According to police, the case remains under investigation and is registered at Garden Police Station.

Interim Charge Sheet Submitted in Murder Case

In a separate development, police submitted an interim charge sheet in a murder case linked to Anmol alias Pinky.

The interim report lists the complainant, the individual who examined the body, the ambulance driver, and the police official who registered the First Information Report (FIR) as prosecution witnesses.

The investigating officer informed the court that any deficiencies or clerical errors identified in the interim report would be corrected in the final charge sheet.

The Deputy District Public Prosecutor had previously highlighted serious errors in the interim charge sheet and sought necessary corrections before submission of the final report.

The case relates to the discovery of an unidentified man’s body in Karachi’s Baghdadi area on April 7. Investigators suspected that the deceased had obtained narcotics from Anmol alias Pinky. Police have stated that the death occurred due to drug consumption, while further legal proceedings remain ongoing.
