Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir Meets Timergara Bar to Improve Public Access to Justice

Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir Basharat Ahmad met with a representative delegation of the District Bar Timergara to discuss challenges facing the legal community, strengthen cooperation between the district administration and lawyers, and improve access to justice for the public.

The meeting was held under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s “Open Door Policy / Interaction with Civil Society” initiative. Discussions focused on enhancing the timely delivery of legal services, addressing issues confronting the legal profession and promoting closer institutional coordination.

During the meeting, representatives of the District Bar Timergara briefed the deputy commissioner on the Bar’s performance, the welfare of lawyers, challenges within the judicial system and measures aimed at providing timely and effective legal assistance to citizens.

The delegation emphasized that stronger coordination between the district administration and the legal fraternity would help resolve public issues more efficiently, reinforce the rule of law and improve the administration of justice.

Deputy Commissioner Reaffirms Support

Deputy Commissioner Basharat Ahmad described the District Bar as an important stakeholder in promoting justice, resolving disputes peacefully and strengthening the rule of law.

He said the district administration values the legal community as a key partner and would continue to enhance cooperation with the Bar to safeguard public interest, maintain law and order and facilitate the effective resolution of disputes.

The deputy commissioner also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to public service and ensuring citizens have easier access to justice. He said constructive recommendations from the legal fraternity would be given due consideration and implemented where appropriate.

Commitment to Continued Cooperation

The meeting was attended by District Bar Timergara President Advocate Saleem Khan, General Secretary Advocate Zakar Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Member Advocate Shah Faisal, Advocate Jahan Bahadur, Advocate Bashir Ullah Safi, Advocate Asad Ullah and other senior lawyers.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the District Bar delegation thanked Deputy Commissioner Basharat Ahmad for engaging with the legal community and reaffirmed its commitment to continued cooperation with the district administration to improve public service delivery and strengthen the justice system.
