A ceremony marking Defence and Martyrs Day was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, where the sacrifices and professional services of Pakistan’s armed forces were remembered.
Senior Chinese civil and military officials, diplomats and members of the Pakistani community attended the event. Senior People’s Liberation Army official Liu Huizhi was the chief guest at the ceremony.
Tribute to Pakistan’s Armed Forces
During the ceremony, tributes were paid to the courage, professional capabilities and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the country.
The defence attaché at the Pakistan Embassy highlighted the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and its role in the defence and security of the country.
Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires, Aizaz Khan, also paid tribute to the country’s martyrs and acknowledged their sacrifices in national service.
The ceremony brought together Pakistani and Chinese officials, members of the diplomatic community and Pakistani citizens in Beijing to commemorate Defence and Martyrs Day.
