Deputy Commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Malik has stated that the oppressed Kashmiri people under India’s brutal occupation will soon be blessed with the great gift of freedom, for which they have been sacrificing their blood for a long time. She expressed these views while leading a solidarity rally held at the District Complex on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The Kashmir Solidarity Day Rally was attended by Assistant Commissioner Chakwal Zeeshan Sharif Qaisrani, CEO Education Muhammad Safdar Malik, CO District Council Hashmi, Civil Defense Officer, Incharge Rescue 1122, Principal DPS School & College Muhammad Nadeem Sarwar, PML-N leader Chaudhry Sajjad Hussain, along with other government officials, employees, media representatives, and members of civil society.
Addressing the participants of the rally, Deputy Commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Malik highlighted the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, emphasizing that this day is dedicated to the full support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and paying tribute to their unparalleled spirit of resistance.
She stated that India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and the brutal atrocities committed by the Indian army against unarmed Kashmiris are serious violations of fundamental human rights. She urged the United Nations and the international community not to remain silent on India’s oppression in Kashmir but to fulfill their responsibilities in making Pakistan’s efforts for Kashmir’s freedom successful and promoting peace and security in the region. She expressed hope that the long-struggling Kashmiri people would soon reap the fruits of their eternal sacrifices for freedom.
During the rally, participants carried large banners and placards with slogans expressing strong solidarity with oppressed Kashmiri brothers, admiration for their relentless struggle for freedom, and a glowing tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir independence movement.
Later, a seminar was organized at the District Council Hall under the auspices of the District Education Authority Chakwal. Addressing the seminar, Assistant Commissioner Chakwal Zeeshan Sharif Qaisrani and CEO Education Muhammad Safdar Malik stated that observing Kashmir Solidarity Day aims to expose the worst atrocities in history committed by India against defenseless Kashmiri people under its state terrorism.
They emphasized that this day is a tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and a salute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement while reaffirming complete solidarity and support for the oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
On this occasion, Iman Fatima, a student of District Public School & College, delivered a speech and presented a Kashmiri national song. The seminar concluded with a prayer for the freedom of Kashmir.
