Day of Tragedy in Swabi: Seven Deaths in Separate Incidents

Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Swabi witnessed a grim day as seven people lost their lives in separate incidents, including a shocking case of filicide, a fatal road accident, and the discovery of an unidentified female body. The series of deaths has left the local community in shock, prompting police investigations.

The most horrifying incident took place in the Yar Hussain area, where 42-year-old Saif-ul-Islam allegedly killed his four young children before taking his own life. According to police, he had been struggling to reconcile with his estranged wife, who had left him some time ago. Despite seeking help from a local jirga, his wife refused to return, which may have driven him to commit the tragic act. The victims were identified as 12-year-old Zia-ul-Islam, 10-year-old Abdul Rehman, eight-year-old Sana, and a two-year-old daughter.

In a separate incident, a 56-year-old resident of Tor Dheri died in a road accident. Rescue 1122 teams responded to the scene and confirmed the fatality.

Meanwhile, in the Lahore police station jurisdiction, a woman’s body was discovered under mysterious circumstances. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine her identity and the cause of death.

The series of tragedies in a single day has deeply unsettled Swabi residents.
