Candidates from Karachi’s Board of Intermediate Education recorded a success rate of approximately 92% in the admission test for Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, outperforming candidates from most educational boards in interior Sindh, according to the reported results.

The admission test, conducted under the supervision of IBA Karachi, showed considerable differences in success rates among candidates from various educational boards.

Cambridge candidates recorded a 100% success rate, with all candidates passing the test. Meanwhile, 48 out of 49 candidates from the Aga Khan University Examination Board succeeded, achieving a success rate of approximately 98%.

Previous Engineering Admission Results

A similar variation in performance was reported in the entry test for NED University of Engineering and Technology.

Cambridge candidates recorded a success rate of 94%, followed by Aga Khan Board at 88%, Federal Board at 83.71% and Karachi Board at 80%.

Candidates from interior Sindh boards recorded lower success rates: Hyderabad Board 46.83%, Nawabshah Board 42.03%, Mirpurkhas Board 40.43%, Larkana Board 36.71% and Sukkur Board 35.06%.

Comparison With MDCAT Results

The report also highlighted the performance of students from interior Sindh in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), conducted under the supervision of IBA Sukkur for medical college admissions.

According to the information provided, no candidates from Cambridge, Aga Khan Board or Karachi’s intermediate board secured a place in the MDCAT top 20. Their reported performance in engineering admission tests, however, was comparatively strong.

The contrasting results have drawn attention to differences in performance across admission tests. However, success rates alone do not establish the reasons behind these variations or demonstrate that any examination result was irregular.
