ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani attended a farewell reception held in honour of the outgoing Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan as the chief guest in Islamabad.
The event was hosted by Mr. Luqman Afzal, CEO of the Monal Group, and was attended by senior political leaders, federal ministers, diplomats, members of the business community, and social figures.
High-level diplomatic and political participation
Among those present were Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Defence Production Raza Hayat Harraj, Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, and Prime Minister’s Adviser Tauqir Shah.
A large number of ambassadors and representatives from various sectors also attended the reception.
Appreciation for Pakistan–Italy relations
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended his best wishes to the outgoing Italian Ambassador and appreciated her contributions toward strengthening Pakistan–Italy relations.
He expressed confidence that bilateral ties between the two countries would continue to grow in the coming years, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement and cooperation.
