LAHORE, Monday, September 21, 2026: Construction of the Celestia IT & Office Tower has entered its final phases as the Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) accelerates development work across NSIT City in Lahore, the authority said on Monday.
The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), commonly known as CBD Punjab, said work was progressing across major infrastructure and construction components of NSIT City, which is being developed as Pakistan’s first and largest dedicated IT city.
A key milestone has been reached at the high-rise Celestia IT & Office Tower, where steel reinforcement work is underway ahead of the final slab casting on the 20th floor.
Exterior work is also advancing, with glazing, structural glass installation and aluminium composite panel cladding being carried out on the building’s facade.
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing work is continuing simultaneously. According to CBD Punjab, testing of the lighting systems on the ground and first floors has been completed, while HVAC integration and electrical installations are progressing on other floors.
Development is also moving forward under Infrastructure Package One. Plastering and installation of aluminium composite panel sheets at the main entrance are underway, while tile installation and cobblestone work along the central road median and public areas are nearing completion.
Alongside the building projects, work is continuing on NSIT City’s internal road network, public parks and embankments.
Ground levelling and site preparation based on updated layouts are underway at Park One and Park Two, the authority said.
CBD Punjab Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin said the authority was focused on completing the projects within stipulated timelines while maintaining international quality standards.
“Our top priority is to execute every project in alignment with international quality standards and strict project timelines,” Amin said.
He added that timely completion of the development would help provide modern facilities and an improved ecosystem for investors, technology companies and the public.
NSIT City is being developed in Lahore as a major technology and business district designed to attract IT companies, investors and technology-related enterprises.
CBD Punjab said it was continuing to monitor construction and infrastructure projects to accelerate delivery as part of its broader efforts to support investment, economic activity and modern urban development in Punjab.
