ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to introduce electric double-decker buses in Islamabad, offering residents and domestic and international tourists a modern and environmentally friendly way to explore the capital.
According to the city administration, the electric double-decker buses will connect more than 15 major recreational, historical and tourist attractions across Islamabad.
The proposed route will include popular destinations such as Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Pakistan Monument, Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh and D-Chowk.
The service is expected to give residents and visitors a new opportunity to experience Islamabad’s scenic landscapes and major landmarks from a double-decker bus.
The electric buses will have a capacity of 90 passengers, while the CDA said providing modern facilities to residents and tourists remains one of its priorities.
The authority aims to further promote Islamabad as an attractive and tourist-friendly capital. Residents have welcomed the proposed introduction of the electric double-decker bus service.
