ISLAMABAD, Oct 7: BYD Pakistan has introduced an anniversary edition of the Shark 6 pickup in a new “Outback Orange” colour to mark one year of the plug-in hybrid model in the country.
Mega Motor Company, BYD’s official partner in Pakistan, unveiled the special-edition variant at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026 in Lahore.
The anniversary model retains the existing Shark 6 powertrain and specifications, including BYD’s Super DMO technology, 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque.
According to the company, the pickup offers a combined driving range of up to 800 kilometres and includes Mud, Snow and Sand driving modes for different terrain conditions.
Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan-MMC, said the response to the Shark 6 over the past year showed growing customer interest in plug-in hybrid technology within the pickup segment.
The company said the anniversary edition is aimed at buyers seeking a more distinctive version of the vehicle while keeping the same hybrid and all-terrain capabilities.
To mark the first anniversary, BYD Pakistan also announced a limited booking offer for October.
Customers booking the Shark 6 between October 1 and October 31 will be eligible for delivery within 30 days on selected colours, subject to full payment and applicable terms and conditions.
The offer also includes a one-year free service maintenance package.
The Shark 6 entered the Pakistani market as a plug-in hybrid pickup, adding a new electrified option to a segment traditionally dominated by conventional internal-combustion models.
