ISLAMABAD: BRIDGE, a youth self-actualization and leadership development initiative inspired by Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi (selfhood), has conducted a training session titled “Voice & Valor” to help young people develop confident, honest and effective communication skills.

The session formed part of BRIDGE’s ongoing leadership curriculum, focusing on strengthening participants’ confidence, clarity and composure while expressing their ideas in personal, academic and professional settings.

According to the organization, the initiative seeks to address a key challenge facing Pakistan’s youth by providing structured mentorship, leadership training and practical skill development to unlock their potential.

Built around the themes of courage, clarity and truthfulness, the Voice & Valor session encouraged participants to speak confidently, communicate honestly and distinguish facts from assumptions while remaining respectful during discussions.

The training featured interactive activities, including ice-breakers, guided discussions and a practical case study titled “The Search for Truth: A Lie Can Still Happen,” enabling participants to practice responding to real-life situations with confidence and integrity.

By the end of the session, participants demonstrated improved communication skills, greater confidence in handling challenging conversations and a stronger ability to express their views clearly and thoughtfully. Facilitators also shared practical habits to help participants continue developing truthful and effective communication beyond the classroom.

“If we can rightly guide our youth today, these same young people will emerge tomorrow as a capable, principled and proud generation of leaders—a source of light not only for themselves but for society at large,” the organization said.

The Voice & Valor training is part of BRIDGE’s wider leadership development program, which includes structured mentorship, self-awareness initiatives, skills-development tracks and youth-led community impact projects. The organization has also set measurable goals across its programs, including mentorship for every participant, a completion rate of at least 75%, and a 60–70% improvement in participants’ core soft skills.

Founded on the ideals of Khudi and the spirit of the Shaheen, BRIDGE aims to transform untapped youth potential into confident, capable and purpose-driven leadership under its tagline: “From dormant potential to purposeful leadership, inspired by Khudi, powered by action.”
