KARACHI, September 7, 2026: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has sought Sindh government support to address operational issues affecting its activities in the province and ensure the smooth implementation of its initiatives.
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid raised the issues during a meeting with Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah in Karachi, where both sides discussed matters related to the programme’s operations and coordination with the provincial government.
Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted challenges requiring coordination and facilitation from the Sindh government for the effective functioning of BISP operations and delivery of services to beneficiaries.
Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah assured the BISP chairperson of the provincial government’s full cooperation in resolving the operational issues. He also pledged to provide assistance and facilitate BISP on matters requiring provincial coordination.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to close coordination for the smooth and efficient implementation of BISP initiatives across Sindh.
DG Sindh BISP Sana Ullah Rind and consultant Naveed Khan also attended the meeting.
