MUZAFFARABAD, April 22, 2026 — Rubina Khalid attended the Agricultural Conference 2026 in Muzaffarabad at the invitation of Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, while also reviewing key facilities under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The conference, organised by AJK’s agriculture, livestock and irrigation departments, brought together officials and experts to discuss improving agricultural productivity and adopting modern farming practices. The visit also focused on expanding welfare support for women and children through BISP initiatives.
Speaking at the event, Rubina Khalid acknowledged efforts by the AJK government to strengthen the agriculture sector and stressed the need for greater coordination to support economic development and livelihoods.
Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore highlighted the importance of modern agricultural methods and effective implementation, while AJK Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Ali Shan Soni also addressed participants.
Welfare and health facilities reviewed
During her visit, the BISP chairperson inspected a Dynamic Registration Centre in Pattika, where she reviewed the beneficiary survey process and interacted with women enrolled in the programme.

She also visited a Benazir Nashonuma Centre at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Pattika, which provides maternal and child health and nutrition services. Officials, including representatives from the World Food Programme, briefed her on operations.
Khalid directed authorities to strengthen coordination with the health department to expand access to services and improve coverage for eligible women and children in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
