ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the Al-Haj Market PDMA Registration Point in Bara, Khyber, where she met internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Tirah and reviewed the registration process.

During the visit, Khalid inspected the Mobile Registration Van deployed at the site and interacted directly with women seeking assistance. She listened to their concerns and directed staff to ensure complaints were resolved promptly. She emphasized that applicants should receive complete guidance to avoid difficulties during registration.

The BISP chairperson highlighted that facilities for issuing Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and children’s B-Forms were available at the site, enabling women without documentation to complete registration. She said the programme would include women meeting the prescribed poverty score criteria, ensuring they receive benefits under BISP.

Khalid also inspected the medical camp established at the registration point and reviewed healthcare services being provided to IDPs. She assured full cooperation in addressing related issues.

Speaking to media representatives, Khalid said her primary objective was to engage directly with women, understand their problems, and ensure effective measures for their resolution. She reaffirmed that BISP stands with families in difficult times and is committed to alleviating hardships.

Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa BISP, Alaf Jan Afridi, accompanied the chairperson during the visit.
