MARDAN: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan has announced the position holders of the SSC Annual-I Examination 2026, with students from Girls Cadet College Mardan securing the top three positions in the Science Group.
The results were unveiled during a ceremony at the BISE Mardan Auditorium attended by Provincial Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education Khalid Khan, Director Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Faridullah Shah, Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Ur Rehman, education officials, school heads, teachers, parents, and students.
Chairman Highlights Merit and Transparency
BISE Mardan Chairman Prof. Jehan Zeb congratulated the position holders and praised their dedication and academic excellence. He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to transparency, merit, and fairness in the examination process.
He also welcomed the strong performance of students from government schools in remote areas, saying their achievements demonstrate that determination and quality education can lead to outstanding results.
Science Group Position Holders
In the Science Group, students from Girls Cadet College Mardan claimed all three top positions:
- 1st Position: Maheen Ayub – 1,171 marks
- 2nd Position: Sameera Imran – 1,166 marks
- 3rd Position: Fizza Zaman – 1,165 marks

Arts Group Position Holders
In the Arts Group, the top positions were awarded to students from government schools:
- 1st Position: Ayesha Sajjad – 1,091 marks (Government Girls Higher Secondary School Akbarpura, Nowshera)
- 2nd Position: Hajra Qasim – 1,072 marks (Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dak Ismail Khel)
- 3rd Position: Maimoona – 1,069 marks (Government Girls Higher Secondary School Jahangira, Swabi)
Pass Percentage and Awards
According to the Board, the SSC Part-II (10th Class) examination recorded a pass percentage of 80.02%, while SSC Part-I (9th Class) achieved an impressive 99.16% pass rate.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of shields, certificates, and cash prizes to the position holders in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
